Flexible Lifeline Systems Completes the Inspection of the Fall Protection Systems on the Yaquina Bay Bridge
Flexible Lifeline Systems, Inc. announced today the recent completion of the Fall Protection Systems inspections on the Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport Oregon.
HOUSTON, TX, August 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As part of a refurbishment project completed in 2006, Flexible Lifeline Systems designed, supplied and installed 20 lifeline systems totaling approximately one mile of fall protection safety cabling in order to facilitate safe access for ODOT bridge inspectors. The fall protection systems are constructed from 316 stainless steel in order to stand up to the harsh coastal environment and provide years of trouble-free service while allowing bridge inspectors to perform the critical tasks of monitoring bridge condition and performing maintenance operations. Each lifeline system is rated for two simultaneous users and is designed such that users are able to walk the entire length of each arched system without detaching at the intermediate supports.
"By providing this service to the transportation department, Flexible Lifeline Systems is proud to help the ODOT perform the critical inspection and maintenance of our nation's infrastructure." said Andy Townend, President of Flexible Lifeline Systems, Inc.
