Deputy Chief Eric B. Petersen Added to Exclusive Registry's Roster
Eric B. Petersen has spent more than 50 years in the emergency services field

Tehachapi, CA, September 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eric B. Petersen, Deputy Chief of the Sand Canyon Volunteer Fire Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in firefighting and search & rescue services.

Eric B. Petersen is a veteran in the emergency services field with 52 years of experience in firefighting and search & rescue operations. He started his career with Yosemite National Park and is a former emergency medical services battalion chief. He has been Deputy Chief of the Sand Canyon Volunteer Fire Department for eight years and plans to retire on January 20, 2011 and spend more time pursuing his hobby of building model trains and airplanes. He is currently 73 years of age and is a California Certified Firefighter I, Certified Firefighter II, Licensed Emergency Medical Technician and is certified to hold the position of Chief of Department. He is a member of The California State Firefighters' Association and various search and rescue organizations. He has been associated with the International Association of Fire Chiefs, which honored him for his dedicated service. Deputy Petersen holds a Ministerial Degree from World University in Ojai, CA. He attributes his success to being of service to the public.
