Harold R. Borchert Has 35 Years of Experience as a Health Physicist

Borchert, who retired from the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services as Credentialing Reform Project Manager and was Former Director of Radiation Control, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in public service.

Mr. Borchert enjoyed a fruitful 35 years as a health physicist, of which 22 years at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. He concluded his career at the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services in 2006, and is currently self-employed. Recognized as an expert in pharmacy and radiation health physics, he was responsible for approving the use of radiopharmaceuticals in hospitals, clinics and doctors' offices. Active in research and a former member of several radiation-related national associations, Mr. Borchert is proud to have been inducted into Rho Chi, an academic honor society in pharmacy. He attributes his success to having worked with good people.

An alumnus of North Dakota State University, Mr. Borchert received his Master's Degree in Radiation Health Physics in 1974. He is a member of the American Pharmacists Association. In his spare time, he volunteers with the Girl Scouts of the USA, where he is a lifetime member. Mr. Borchert plans to return to the workforce within the next five years.
