/Industrial Safety and Health News Articles/ -- CHARLOTTE, NC, January 19, 2010, Tiffiny Lyons, Advanced Environmental and Safety Specialist for the Environmental, Health and Safety Department at Owens Corning, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her career.

An authority on ergonomics and industry regulations, Tiffiny Lyons now thrives in her third year as Safety Specialist for Owens Corning, responsible for ensuring the safety of the plant manufacturing staff, verifying the compliance of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, and managing the Safety Leadership Team. Having initially become involved in her profession through her academic background in chemical engineering, Ms. Lyons possesses extensive experience with the automotive, food production and building materials industries.

Ms. Lyons is currently pursuing a master's degree in Environmental Management at Arizona State University, which will compliment her bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health from North Carolina A&T State University. She plans to complete her doctorate and become a college professor with long-term goals of developing a consulting firm to work with small businesses on occupational safety, health and environmental issues. Ms. Lyons is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta and contributes regularly to the American Red Cross and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
