Over his 35-year career in transportation, Mr. Moore trained countless new drivers in the art of safely moving goods from one place to another, making the roads across the U.S. and Canada safer for everyone. He also taught at a driving academy, and transported dry goods, refrigerated products and flatbeds throughout North America himself, earning the nick name "Gray Ghost" because he logged over four million accident-free miles. He always stressed the importance of safety by inspecting the cargo to ensure it would not shift, and by ascertaining that vehicles were properly serviced and held safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and flares in case of emergencies. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was honored with various safety awards over the years.
