Lea Ann Shivers celebrated for 25 years of professional dedication in with Georgia-Pacific

CROSSETT, AR, February 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lea Ann Shivers, Safety Coordinator for Georgia-Pacific LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of safety management.

Honored as Cambridge Publishing's 2009 Professional of the Year in Safety Management, Lea Ann Shivers possesses an impressive 25 years of experience with Georgia-Pacific. Specializing in plant safety management, she is recognized for seven years of professional dedication as Safety Coordinator for Georgia-Pacific LLC, a leading lumber provider. At her current post, she is responsible for analyzing production reports, disseminating information at safety meetings, handling training coordination and voluntary programs, and supervising employees.

Recognized for her compassion, people management skills and training abilities, Ms. Shivers is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She holds an associate degree in office administration and is a certified safety professional. She and her co-workers were the Superstar Among Stars Award recipients for three consecutive years from 2006 to 2008, and she currently sits on the Wesley Board of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She also maintains active affiliation with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Volunteer Protection Program Participants Association, and the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.

In an exclusive January interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. Shivers noted that the highlight of her career to date has been receiving recognition from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for being an accident-free division leader. She enjoys investigating different aspects of safety in plants, and will continue to do so as she moves forward in her career.
