Construction Worker Dies in New York Construction Accident, Lawyer David Perecman Comments
A construction worker is killed in a fatal construction accident involving an auger.

NEW YORK, NY, August 11, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A man died in a construction accident in Port Kent, New York when he was pinned by a large piece of machinery.

It is reported that the construction worker, 46-year-old Michael Loyer was operating a Barbco auger while installing a large pipe under a railroad bed. But the machine became bound in the pipe, New York State police said, and he was thrown off and pinned to the ground by the boring machine.

Another construction worker, Noah Rounds, used a backhoe to lift the auger off Loyer.

Rounds, an employee with Fuller Excavation, and Timothy Clark, an employee of the South Burlington-based Trenchless Technologies, administered CPR while the ambulance was in route, but Loyer could not be revived.

The construction worker died of multiple injuries sustained in the New York construction accident.

When he died, construction worker Loyer was working for Trenchless Technologies of New England, a subcontractor for Steven Fuller Excavation.
