Donald Brennan Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Donald W. Brennan has been accepted to the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of his remarkable work in the field of disaster management.
BRANDON, MB, CANADA, October 31, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Donald W. Brennan has been accepted to the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of his remarkable work in the field of disaster management. As CEO of International Disaster Management Consultants, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Mr. Brennan has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
International Disaster Management Consultants is an organization which is made up of a select group of emergency managers, former elected officials, police officers, fire and rescue personnel, emergency management classroom instructors, communications experts and military experts. Their internationally recognized trainers provide training to clients' trainers, or travel to their agencies or communities to develop a plan with the client. All of IDMC's associates are experienced experts who have lived through catastrophic events, having a wealth of knowledge in emergency management.
Donald retired as a Staff Sergeant with the Brandon Police Services after 27 plus years of service with the force. Over the course of his sensational law enforcement career, he was awarded the police exemplary service medal and the distinguished medal for meritorious service. Mr. Brennan spent time in charge of the Explosives Disposal Unit, as well as the Hostage and Barricaded Persons Unit. He also completed the police leadership and management development course through Dalhousie University. In addition, Donald completed the senior police administration course at the Canadian Police College in Ottawa.
After successfully completing all emergency courses at the Canadian Emergency Preparedness College, Donald volunteered and was appointed as vice-president of the 1997 Brandon Canada Games, where he was in charge of the media relations, logistics and accreditation. After retiring in 1999, he was appointed Director of Emergency Operations with the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization, where he was responsible for managing the five regional EMO officers and the EMO training program.
Mr. Brennan is a Disaster Management Specialist who has been responsible for teaching communities how to respond during emergency situations and how to develop emergency plans. He is also a Bomb Disposal Expert who specializes in critical emergency scenarios such as flooding, tornadoes and fire evacuation.
